Architecture, archaeology and continuing use
A short fluted column rises from a battered square plinth. Relief plaques record a kilted soldier and the names of the fallen, while an egg-and-dart cap carries a suspended metal garland.
Its story
A. Marshall Mackenzie designed the memorial after the First World War. The Countess of Seafield unveiled it on 18 September 1921, and names from the Second World War were added later.
