Its story

Victoria House was built in 1880 for the McIntosh family and enlarged in 1899. It became a hotel in 1948 and continues to provide accommodation, dining and events.

Why it is included

The building connects Kirkcaldy’s furniture-making history to a long-running hospitality conversion with significant interiors.

What to notice

  • The round-headed doorway and fanlight.
  • The dated 1899 wing.
  • Carved stair and coloured-glass four-seasons window where authorised access permits.
