Architecture and continuing use
Geometrical tracery, rock-faced masonry and a tower rising to a slated spire give the building a clear mid-Victorian profile. Later work enlarged the complex without losing the original silhouette.

Peddie and Kinnear completed the church in 1865. Congregational unions changed its name and organisation, most recently forming St Andrews New Kirk in 2026.
