Architecture and setting
The two-storey frontage has three upper windows and plain rubble walls framed by dressed stone. A blocked doorway helps reveal the former arrangement as two homes. Its small scale makes a useful contrast with Crieff’s monumental commercial buildings.
Its story
HES records that one of the original houses belonged to the factor of the Commissioners of Crieff, whose duties included collecting cattle-drovers’ dues. The street was formerly called The Feus and later New Street before acquiring its present name.
