Architecture and continuing use
The corner block uses towers, domes, sculpture and animated stonework to advertise the theatre, while the auditorium retains tiers, boxes and elaborate plaster decoration.
Its story
The Pavilion opened in 1904 as a music hall and variety theatre designed by Bertie Crewe. It survived changing entertainment fashions and continues as an independent venue.
