Architecture, archaeology and continuing use
The five-bay rubble structure presents four storeys to the harbour but three to Granary Street. Round-headed loading openings, small loft windows, a rear forestair and numerous blocked bays preserve the working logic of the former store.
Its story
The warehouse was built around 1810 during the creation of Burghead’s planned harbour town. It later became four flats while retaining the mass and openings of a major granary.

Category A listing recognises a dominant industrial building central to the nationally important harbour and Granary Street group.
