The compact front is organised around a projecting central bay beneath a pediment. Pilaster strips, scrolled skewputts, bipartite ground-floor windows and a corniced doorway articulate the masonry, while a modern rear extension records continued domestic adaptation.
Its story
The house bears the date 1777 and belongs to the agricultural landscape of Stonehouse parish. Its original patron and designer are not recorded. Later residential alteration expanded the rear without removing the formal eighteenth-century front.
