Architecture, archaeology and continuing use
The mixed-rubble front has a central panelled door, painted joints and concrete dressings. Outer gabled dormers break the wallhead, while a narrow former store continues at the gable; end stacks and a slate roof unite the phases.
Its story
The original single-storey cottage and store were built in 1843. During the later nineteenth century the main building rose to two storeys, illustrating how Findochty’s domestic accommodation grew with the town.

Category B listing recognises a clearly dated building whose fabric makes a major phase of vertical enlargement legible.
